By 12:01 a.m., 3 babies were already born in Utah in 2014. A girl was the first baby born in Utah County in 2014, tied for the first baby born in the state this year. At Timpanogos Regional Hospital, May Shelly Mildenstein made her way into the world just a few seconds after midnight, officially born at 12:00:03 a.m. At 6 pounds 14 ounces and 19 inches long, the youngest of three with two older brothers ages 5 and 2, May was the first baby born in Utah County and tied for the first baby born in Utah in 2014. A baby boy was born at Jordan Valley Hospital in West Jordan at the same time.
